Role Overview

The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading and supporting landscape planning projects, including LVIA, TVIA and environmental impact assessments, while ensuring high‑quality outcomes across the project lifecycle.

You’ll work closely with clients, project teams and multi‑disciplinary colleagues to influence design from an early stage, create a landscape legacy and deliver wider environmental and social benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support landscape planning projects, including LVIA, TVIA and environmental impact assessments.
  • Conduct site surveys, field analysis and prepare high‑quality reports and technical documentation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing clear, confident guidance and strengthening relationships.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting technical excellence and team development.
  • Manage project budgets, programmes and deliverables, ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve environmental, social and design objectives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in landscape planning, LVIA/TVIA and environmental impact assessment.
  • Excellent understanding of the UK planning system.
  • Proven project management skills, including financial and programme oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite preferred; GIS, Revit or ProjectWise experience advantageous.
  • Confident communicator with experience leading meetings, workshops and client discussions.

Desirable

  • Experience working on energy transition, residential, defence or complex infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary project delivery within large consultancy environments.
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior team members.
