Principal / Associate Wastewater Modelling Engineer

OverviewWe are looking for a Principal or Associate Engineer to support the team leaders in managing project delivery, including supervision of tasks and review of deliverables. The role will enable you to develop and use your technical skills, applying your expertise to help us drive technical quality and service efficiency.ResponsibilitiesDevelop the urban drainage modelling capability in the team, ensure we are at the forefront of latest developments, and provide training and development support to more junior members of the teamSupport the team lead in managing the work of the local technical delivery teamProvide technical input on urban drainage projects and support our wastewater team in delivering current and future projects; help influence future delivery approachesExercise independent engineering judgement and provide innovative solutions to engineering problemsDevelop and maintain excellent client relationships at all levels, coordinating and facilitating project meetings internally and with clientsParticipate in business development and proposal preparationPromote the WSP brand through industry forums and conferencesContribute to the learning of the wider team through knowledge sharingWhat We Will Be Looking For You To DemonstrateA relevant degree and chartered, or progressed towards qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEMDemonstrable experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and ability to check others' outputs prior to issueWorking knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for the Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems, and relevant British StandardsGood presentation, written and verbal communication skillsImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
