Principal Bariatric Clinical Psychologist

1 Days Old

Overview

ESNEFT is a large NHS Foundation Trust serving a population of approximately 1 million people in the Suffolk and North Essex area. We are starting a new Complex Obesity Service to deliver bariatric/metabolic surgery, endoscopic and medical weight management treatments. This service combines Tier 3 and Tier 4 into a single comprehensive service (Tier 4 PLUS) and will offer all treatments including IWMP, GLP-1 medications, endoscopic and surgical bariatric procedures.

We are recruiting a psychologist to develop and deliver innovative assessment and treatment approaches aligned with the latest evidence and quality standards. The post is available full or part time with options for flexible and remote working by mutual agreement. The psychologist will be a core member of the Weight Management Service MDT and will contribute to direct 1:1 patient care, service development, MDT advice, and potential group sessions.

Supervision will be provided by experienced Consultant Bariatric Psychologists. Any psychologists interested in discussing these roles and the Complex Obesity Service are invited to contact Mr Hywel Room, Consultant Bariatric Surgeon (hywel.room@esneft.nhs.uk).

Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. ESNEFT is investing in digital transformation with Epic, and we offer a wide range of training, development opportunities, flexible working options, and a generous pension scheme. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of patients.
