Are you a Building Physics Engineer or Building Physicist who is ready to start managing a team and developing strategy? This Principal Building Physicist role is perfect for you. You'll be looking after a team of four experienced personnel based between the Leeds and Newcastle offices of this building services consultancy, with approximately 70% of their workload being compliance-based work.

Project-wise, they deal with a mix of schemes from complex leisure centres, data centres, healthcare projects, to standard office schemes. If you are their ideal Principal Building Physicist, you would be either used to managing colleagues or ready to make the step up. You also need to be technically confident with building physics work and knowledgeable about UK regulations and standards.

Looking ahead, they are moving the business from approximately 70% compliance work to a 50:50 split between compliance and whole life carbon, post-occupancy evaluation, decarbonisation studies, and Nabers. Any knowledge and experience in these areas would be very useful. Professionally, there is a route to promotion in place for you, along with support to help you reach it.
