A range of large-scale solar projects, including those at all stages of the DCO process (from site selection/design through to the Examination stage).

A range of DNS onshore wind projects in Wales.

Onshore wind, battery storage and feasibility studies in Scotland.

What you will be doing:

This role would be a great move for a Principal EIA Consultant who is ready for the next stage in their career. This role will increase your experience across a variety of projects from small to large long-term flagship projects.

You'll be working within a multi-disciplinary environment with highly experienced and collaborative colleagues. There is a genuine ethos of ensuring a good work/life balance within this diverse and friendly team. You will have the opportunity to be part of a highly regarded team, including leading industry experts as well as partner with the wider RPS sustainability, climate change, planning, landscape, ecology, heritage, health and transport teams.

A typical week could include:

We welcome applicants who specialise in EIA, as well as applicants who are keen to combine this role with work with our sustainability and climate team, as well as applicants with technical writing skills for relevant topics, such as ecology, hydrology and socio-economics.

Who we are looking for

You will need to have excellent writing and technical review skills, be able to work collaboratively and have the ability to work with others. A good eye for detail is essential as is strong problem-solving skills, helping to address client concerns and 'make complex easy'.

Qualifications:

A first degree in a relevant environmental subject and ideally an MSc in a relevant topic e.g. Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management or similar.

RPS, a Tetra Tech company is looking for a Principal EIA Consultant to join us at one of our busy and vibrant offices in Oxford, London, Edinburgh, Cardiff or Manchester. This role can be hybrid and either full-time or part time working hours.

About the Team

Our EIA team is working on some of the most exciting projects in the UK and internationally, including offshore and onshore wind farms, solar and battery storage projects, airports and data centres. We combine this with the opportunity to work on a of range of smaller EIA projects, providing our team with opportunities to work on some of the largest projects across a range of sectors.
