Principal Consultant - Permitting and Compliance

RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Principal Consultant for Permitting and Compliance based in various locations across the UK.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing advice on and managing/preparing applications for environmental permits, licenses, and approvals from regulatory agencies, including new applications, variations, and surrender of existing permits.
  2. Advising on and developing environmental management system documents and supporting management plans required by clients' environmental permits.
  3. Overseeing permit monitoring and reporting to UK regulators.
  4. Discharging pre-operational and permit improvement condition items.
  5. Responding to technical queries professionally and promptly.
  6. Applying business development skills to deliver the business plan and secure new work.
  7. Preparing proposals and building strong client relationships to maintain and develop the client base.
  8. Ensuring quality control of project outputs according to the approved QA system.
  9. Organising own workload and assisting junior staff in managing their workloads to meet deadlines.
  10. Supporting the development of junior staff.
