Your role

In the role of a Principal Consultant, you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments, from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development and deployment. You will guide teams on project processes and deliverables, be a thought leader in your domain, and advise on architecture and design reviews. You will also anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, and in-house capability building, shaping value-adding consulting solutions for clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop logical and physical database models based on business requirements.
• Write efficient and complex SQL queries, ETL using stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Collaborate closely with the AWS team to help build data pipelines and orchestration.
• Optimize and tune query performance for high-volume data processing to ensure scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality database solutions on time.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and availability across systems.
• Support testing activities by analyzing defects and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Perform and support DB deployments during testing and release cycles.
• Document database structures and data flows.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in database development.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience on major RDBMS platforms such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries, procedures, and functions.
• Proven expertise in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Solid experience in implementing and managing ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Working experience in Data Warehousing and Data Migration projects (definite plus).
