OverviewWe’re looking for a Principal Design Engineer to join our Design team based in Salford. You’ll utilise your extensive experience in delivering successful flood, water management, and drainage projects to achieve exceptional outcomes for a diverse range of clients, including Highways, local authorities, water industry clients, and major projects like the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine. Your dedication to continuous improvement and development will ensure excellence across all projects.LocationSalford - Office based with some remote working availableSalary and BenefitsSalary: £50,000 - £57,500 + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefitsResponsibilitiesLead a team of skilled designers in delivering high-value, high-quality drainage schemes, supporting the Drainage Design Manager in executing the drainage strategy.Maintain the highest standards of quality and project controls established by the team and wider business.Apply the latest design standards and lessons learnt to projects.Liaise with statutory and non-statutory bodies obtaining relevant data, licences, and consents.Drive technical excellence and continued improvement across the team.Monitor project delivery and undertake change control management.What we are looking forThis role of Principal Design Engineer is great if you have:Civil Engineering degree—or a similar combination of qualifications and/or experience.Proven expertise in a similar role and successfully leading teams to deliver projects.Project management qualification and/or experience.Rewards and benefitsWe’re proud to offer a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
