This role offers flexible hybrid working and may be based in various locations (Nottingham, Cambridge, Basingstoke, Croydon, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Dublin, or Cork). Applicants should be prepared for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and client projects.ResponsibilitiesLead and support delivery of high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to both internal and external clientsOversee plan, schedule and organise all phases of ecological project work, ensuring necessary resources, budgets and controls are in place to meet programme and budget requirementsSupport development of technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issuesLead and support production of ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applicationsAuthor or technically check project deliverables to ensure high quality outputsSupport the continued development of our technical capabilitiesQualificationsDegree (or equivalent) in ecology or an associated subjectMembership of an appropriate professional institution and working towards or obtained Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist status, and a holder of protected species survey and/or mitigation licencesExperience of leading and managing ecological surveys/licensing/impact assessmentExperience in work-winning, managing projects, project budgets and leading stakeholder discussionsExperience of reviewing technical work and supporting wider team membersAbout AECOM and BenefitsWe celebrate diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment.
