We are seeking a Principal Ecologist to lead complex ecological assessments and drive biodiversity solutions for projects across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale ecological assessments and protected species surveys.
• Oversee biodiversity inputs for EIARs and planning applications.
• Manage teams and mentor junior ecologists.
• Provide senior-level ecological consultancy advice to clients.
• Ensure compliance with Irish and EU environmental legislation.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in ecological consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Irish ecological, planning, and environmental regulations.
• Relevant degree in ecology, zoology, or related field (MSc or chartership desirable).
• Previous experience managing ecological teams and projects.
• Full, clean Irish/EU driving license.
