OverviewPrincipal Ecologist£45,000 - £55,000Essex, UK (hybrid)Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a multidisciplinary consultancy, providing ecological, arboricultural, and landscape services to a variety of high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors in the UK.Our client is looking for an innovative and proactive Principal Ecologist to join the Ecology team. The successful candidate will deliver ecological advice to a range of clients as well as support, manage and develop the Ecology team.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Deliver ecological advice to a range of clientsSupport, manage and develop the Ecology teamApply knowledge of ecology-related legislation and policy in a UK context to projectsContribute to multifaceted projects and collaborate with teams across disciplinesQualificationsRelevant degree in ecologyMember of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)Significant experience in a similar role with evidence of managing multifaceted projects and teamsIn-depth knowledge of ecology-related legislation and policy and practical application in the UKExtensive experience in ecological assessment and protected species surveysSolid understanding of protected species planning policies and strong species identification skills across taxonomic groupsExcellent communication, self-motivation, organization, and ability to multi-task and collaborateFull UK driving licence with access to your own vehicleBenefitsHighly competitive salary and generous benefits package, with the opportunity to work on a range of large-scale, exciting projects.How to applyInterested?
