Overview

The Role: As a Principal Econometrician, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end econometric delivery, working closely with senior stakeholders to influence budget allocations, optimise media strategies, and enhance marketing ROI. You’ll be at the forefront of Cross-Portfolio Optimisation, ensuring data-powered decisions drive growth across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of complex econometric projects, aligning outputs with business goals
  • Driving budget optimisation across multiple portfolios using advanced modelling techniques
  • Partnering with marketing, strategy, and analytics teams to translate insights into real-world decisions
  • Developing innovative tools and methodologies to improve modelling accuracy and efficiency
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, enhancing the visibility and impact of econometric insights

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering econometric projects within a commercial environment
  • Strong knowledge of media planning & buying and how modelling informs marketing strategy
  • Expertise in budget allocation, optimisation, and ROI measurement
  • Advanced Excel skills — comfortable manipulating large datasets and refining model parameters
  • A passion for turning data into actionable insights that influence key business decisions
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior employees is highly desirable
  • Python knowledge is a plus but not essential
