We are seeing a Principal Drainage Engineer/LLFA Officer to lead Knowsley Council’s flood risk and drainage advisory work. You will provide technical expertise on planning applications, oversee the delivery of sustainable drainage improvements, and act as the Council’s Lead Local Flood Authority representative. The role requires strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to engage with developers, regional partners, and the community to deliver resilient, adoptable drainage infrastructure.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in flood risk management, drainage strategy assessment, and SuDS design/implementation.
- Ability to produce clear technical advice, lead projects, and negotiate improvements via legal agreements.
- Forward-thinking approach to infrastructure delivery, asset management, and regional flood risk collaboration.
