Principal Grid Engineer

Large consultancy working across renewables & Power-to-X projects

Offices across the country- Hybrid working

Up to £85,000 DOE

We've partnered with a leading consultancy, working across multiple sectors on a really exciting hire. This position sits right at the heart of the technical team, working closely with the power systems, grid & networks team.

The group is on a mission to become a global leader in sustainability solutions. For this mission, they have now gained global offices, providing lots of different techncial services within this sector. This position sits with the renewable energy consultancy arm, that works across on & offshore wind, solar, BESS and Power-To-X projects.

This group was a stand alone team, but has now gained impressive funding from the wider organisation which ahs allowed them to grow significantly through the last few years. This has seen them look at new technologies too.

As they are a consultancy, they work on various technologies and with various players in the industry, really meaning no 2 days are the same!

We're looking for somebody with a background in the following:

• Technical skills grid connections, managing applications and being familiar with grid processes.
• Offering expert advice on UK grid regulations and grid code compliance.
• Liaising with DNOs, TSO and NESO for grid offers on behalf of customers.
• Supporting clients on their grid connection agreements and negotiations.
• Supporting junior engineers in their learning and development in this field.

If you have a background working with transmission and distribution networks, power systems analysis and UK grid code, then apply and we can discuss further! Ideally from with a background from within a DNO would be great for this role!
