Job Description

Wood are currently recruiting for a Principal Instrument Engineer to join our Harbour Energy Project on a Contract basis working outside IR35. Hybrid working will be required 3 days per week in Aberdeen office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Instrument engineering support to the Client contract as required
  • Execute assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, client and project standards
  • Originate and check Instrument engineering deliverables as required on Client Contract within budget and schedule
  • Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports
  • Manage discipline CTR’s, provide input to estimates, proposals, plans and progress
  • Develop calculation packages as required
  • Perform site / client office visits if required
  • Present and describe engineering solutions and concepts competently to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Organise, plan and coordinate own work and the resources assigned to a specific project
  • Support quality & technical assurance activities as required

Qualifications

MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with some considerable experience or HNC / HND or equivalent with relevant considerable experience
