Overview

A local authority based in East London is seeking a Principal Lawyer for their Property, Planning and Regeneration Team. This is a locum role; however, the client will be looking to recruit to this role on a permanent basis in due course.

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of lawyers
• Leading on complex commercial and residential property matters
• Advising senior offices and providing comments on committee reports

Qualifications and requirements

The role requires candidates to have significant post qualification experience working in local government, alongside working as a Principal Lawyer or Senior Lawyer with UK qualifications. You must have a UK practising certificate. This is a case handling and management role.

Availability

Candidates must be available to start within the next 4 weeks, and you will need to attend the offices 2 days per week.
