The role

As a Principal Safety Case Engineer, you will manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, applying your process, domain knowledge, and experience.

Day to day, you’ll:

• Develop hazard management strategies and participate in HAZID / HAZOP studies.
• Author radiological safety assessments, including Hazard Management Strategy, Safety Reports (PSRs and PCSRs, etc., and equivalents).
• Produce and review calculations, design basis documentation, and technical reports.
• Manage the delivery of work undertaken by the Supply Chain, monitor progress against cost and schedule, and manage project risks within your remit.
• Oversee technical and safety case strategies, sharing best practices across projects.

This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working options. It can be based in various locations including Bristol, Warrington, or Leicester.

Essential experience

• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams on various project types.
• Proven experience across tasks of varying complexity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.
• Experience in coaching or mentoring Safety Case Engineers.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, with significant experience.
