Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from excellent career progression opportunities, hybrid working, generous benefits, and the chance to work on technically challenging and meaningful projects that make a difference.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping hazard management strategies and contributing to HAZID/HAZOP studiesAuthoring radiological safety assessments, including Hazard Management Strategies and Safety Reports (PSRs, PCSRs, etc.)Producing and reviewing calculations, design basis documentation, and technical reportsManaging delivery of safety case work via supply chain partners, ensuring schedule, cost, quality, and risk targets are metProviding oversight of technical strategies, promoting best practice across projectsMentoring and coaching Safety Case Engineers within the teamQualifications and ExperienceChartered Engineer status (or working towards it)Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering disciplineSignificant demonstrable experience in developing nuclear safety cases across a range of project complexitiesStrong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teamsPrevious experience coaching or mentoring junior engineersIt’s great if you also have the following:Experience working within both defence and civil nuclear environmentsA track record of leading safety case strategies across multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with managing supply chain delivery in highly regulated environmentsSettingThe role is based at either Warrington or Bristol with flexible hybrid working.
