Principal SAP BW Engineer

With more than 200 years of history, we are accelerating the transition to net‑zero. As a Principal SAP BW Engineer you will help drive our goals by guiding SAP BW and SAC developments, contributing to solution design, and leading analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead, overseeing SAP BW and SAC developments, creating solution designs and time estimates for new initiatives, and driving the platform roadmap.
• Build efficient SAP Business Warehouse (BW) extractors, ADSOs, composite providers, productive BEx queries and open hubs to support BI reports and dashboards; develop finance solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP BW.
• Ensure data integrity through championing data quality, reviewing and improving underlying data models, and fostering trust in reporting outputs; act as subject‑matter expert on SAP modelling and reporting.
• Own end‑to‑end implementation of analytics solutions, from stakeholder needs to design, development, testing, deployment, and support; lead testing efforts, manage cutover activities and ensure seamless go‑live transitions.
• Explore advanced analytics capabilities such as Predictive Scenario modelling in SAC, SAC Planning, and Financial Planning solutions to deliver strategic value.
• Mentor and coach team members to cultivate a collaborative and growth‑oriented environment.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP BW and SAC experience, designing, developing and implementing complex enterprise reporting solutions.
• 3+ years of technical leadership, guiding junior colleagues, defining technical vision and ensuring governance of tools.
• Strong understanding of data modelling principles and techniques (ADSOs, Composite Providers, ABAP, BEx queries).
• In‑depth knowledge of integrated technical design concepts and reporting and analytics principles in a global organisation.
• Proven track record on multiple full‑lifecycle, complex global BW/SAC reporting and analytics projects.
• Excellent communication skills bridging technical and business perspectives.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
