Overview
Principal/ Sr. Consultant - Regulatory Reporting – Risk and Compliance - Financial Services role with Infosys Consulting. Base pay range provided is for informational purposes and actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
The Role
As a Principal, you will lead and manage consulting engagements and be responsible for delivery with quality, budget, and staffing. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders and leadership, foster a positive relationship, mentor teams, and contribute to thought leadership in the industry.
Consulting Delivery
- Lead delivery of large change programs, including IT and business change.
- Gather and analyze regulatory requirements; design and develop data and process maps to meet reporting needs.
- Conduct interviews/workshops with subject matter experts to elicit and document requirements.
- Work on change initiatives related to key regulations (e.g., Basel, CCAR, BCBS 239, CCPA, MIFID, CECL, NFRR, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, GDPR, KYC, Client Onboarding, etc.).
- Understand regulatory directives from U.S. financial oversight bodies (Fed, FINRA, SEC, OCC, FRB, CFPB) and interpret impact areas.
- Define workflow management and enterprise-wide reporting requirements for reports such as FR Y-14, FR Y-9C, FFIEC call reports, FR 2052a, Issuer/Position Reporting, etc.
- Collaborate with clients to define long-term vision, goals, and strategies for Regulatory Reporting transformation.
- Advise on strategy and detailed regulatory reporting use cases using industry best practices.
- Assess impact of specific regulations on policies, risks, and controls with client functions (Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance).
- Manage end-to-end project execution and stakeholder communication; proactively identify issues and remediation.
- Engage Regulators and Internal Audit to explain results, analysis, and methodologies for report generation and testing.
- Maintain and update metadata in the enterprise data catalog to meet reporting requirements.
- Support process efficiency, improvement efforts, and data quality initiatives.
- Monitor and report governance metrics; ensure alignment with enterprise data governance policies and standards.
Practice Development
- Provide insights on new technologies and best practices; contribute to service offerings.
- Support thought leadership, develop innovative assets, and participate in white papers, conferences, webinars, and forums.
- Contribute to practice growth through recruitment, campus hiring, and training.
People Management
- Mentor and guide team members; support career progression and development.
- Coach junior team members to deliver quality results and promote professional development.
- Participate in practice training activities and leverage professional networks to attract talent.
Business Development
- Lead small to medium sales pursuits and BD activities; create client proposals and commercial constructs.
- Develop relationships at senior management and CXO levels.
- Identify opportunities to present Infosys Consulting propositions and service offerings.
What makes you the right candidate
- Minimum of 10 years in Financial Services with strong business, technology, and operations understanding.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; or three years of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 7 years in regulatory reporting, business analysis in financial services with banks, consulting firms, or IT professional services firms.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with ability to build relationships at senior levels.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and bring structure to them.
- Strong background in leading IT and business teams; ability to convert requirements into technology solutions with commercial acumen.
- Business development experience including exposure to sales cycles.
- Willing and able to travel up to 100%, depending on client requirements.
- U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply; sponsorship is not available at this time.
Even better if you have
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree; certifications like CFA, FRM.
- Domain knowledge of banking products (deposits, loans, securities, derivatives).
- Experience with industry-standard products like Appian, Suade, Collibra, JIRA, etc.
- SQL/data analysis and data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau) a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-cultural collaboration across time zones.
