As a Principal Waste Water Process Engineer, you will drive every aspect of process engineering on transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities on iconic projects at home and abroad.

Your purpose

  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, delivering high‑quality outputs.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

What you can bring

  • Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM).
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Fundamental understanding and experience of integrated waste‑water and bioresources treatment processes.
  • Design and/or operational experience of main process unit operations: primary, secondary, tertiary treatment; bioreources treatment and disposal; odour and energy management.
  • Experience of process safety techniques (HAZOP / DSEAR), capital and operational cost assessments, whole‑life carbon assessments and knowledge of UK environmental regulations.
  • Awareness of process modelling techniques and software, e.g. BioWIn, SUMO.
