Principle DEX Engineer – Digital Experience (Nexthink)
Location: UK wide
We are seeking an experienced Principal Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise platforms that deliver exceptional digital experiences. This role will shape architecture, monitor performance, and drive automation to ensure high-performing, user-focused services. Our client's International IT Department is driving innovation , with 450+ technology experts supporting 7,500 colleagues worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Digital Experience (DEX) lifecycle: needs analysis, persona mapping, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Manage DEX tools: selection, deployment, configuration, reporting, vendor management, and integration with IT systems.
- Monitor performance, adoption, and sentiment; drive automated self-healing and behavioural change.
- Collaborate with IT, security, operations, and HR to align DEX with organisational needs.
- Support incident management, create knowledge resources, and ensure endpoint compliance and optimisation.
- Promote digital dexterity, automation, and agile working practices across the organisation.
- Mentor technical staff and champion best practices.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years with DEX tools or endpoint management/automation (Nexthink, ZDX)
- 3+ years supporting enterprise IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow), DEX/Network monitoring tools (e.g., Nexthink, ZDX), Microsoft 365/Azure, UEM tools, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Data analysis and reporting expertise; ability to identify trends and take action.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, IAM, and endpoint security.
