The Role
We are seeking an ambitious Associate Solicitor (or professional equivalent) with 4+ years' PQE to join a ranked firm in Bournemouth. This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in the Tax & Estate Planning offering, managing your own caseload, supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, and playing a key part in the growth of the Bournemouth office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of estates and trusts

  • Drafting and updating wills

  • Variation of wills and estate planning structures

  • Preparing and registering lasting powers of attorney

  • Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and related trust matters

  • Drafting trusts and associated trust deeds

  • Business development and networking to strengthen the team's regional presence

The Candidate

  • Minimum 4 years' PQE in Private Client law (applications from those with strong experience outside this bracket will be considered)

  • STEP qualified, with expertise in trusts, inheritance tax planning, and compliance

  • Strong knowledge of wills, LPAs, CGT, and estate administration

  • Commercial approach to problem-solving for clients

  • Excellent drafting and communication skills

  • Highly organised with the ability to lead and mentor others

  • Client-focused with a track record of strong professional relationships
