A nationally respected law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Manchester Private Client team at Senior Associate or Partner level.

• Location: Manchester
• Post-Qualified Experience (PQE): 5+
• Working Pattern: Hybrid

Overview

High‑net‑worth and ultra–high‑net‑worth clients

The successful candidate will act for a prestigious client base including high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, families, business owners and trustees.

Responsibilities

• Advising on succession planning and inheritance tax mitigation
• Wealth protection and estate planning
• Trust and estate administration
• Capital gains tax and charity advisory work
• Supervising junior lawyers and contributing to team development
• Active involvement in client relationship management and business development

There is also scope for optional involvement in contentious probate matters and international or cross‑border planning, depending on experience and interest.

Ideal applicants

• At least 5 years’ post‑qualified experience in private client law
• Strong technical expertise across wills, trusts, IHT, CGT and estate planning
• STEP qualification (or progress towards it) preferred
• Experience advising HNW clients with professionalism and discretion
• The ambition and capability to contribute to the strategic growth of the practice
