Private Client Tax Manager — Edinburgh or Glasgow based

Package: £50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits + Bonus

  • 2-3 days per week in office/Hybrid working

We are currently working with a Top 10 Accountancy firm who are looking to bring in an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to work in either their Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

A strong regional Private Client Tax team of 8 people, including a Director, Managers, Assistant Managers and Associates, meaning plenty of room for progression for the right person.

Your new role:

  • Work in an experienced private client advisory team as a Private Client Tax Manager, focusing on tax planning & tax advisory.
  • The portfolio is varied and includes HNWIs, OMBs, Business Owners, Partnerships, Investment portfolios, and rental portfolios.
  • As a Manager you will be managing a portfolio and team, signing out tax compliance and getting involved in more complex matters, supported by a team of juniors and a compliance centre.
  • In advisory, you will support clients with planning matters including IHT, CGT, Trusts, Non‑Doms, Residency matters and other shareholder matters to name a few examples.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • ACA, ATT, CTA, ACCA qualified
  • UK Private Client tax experience, managing a portfolio of clients across the UK
  • Private Client tax advisory experience is desirable but a compliance specialist who wants more advisory exposure would also be suitable as they can offer support
  • Previous experience managing junior members of staff and coaching/development
