Job Description

  • Manage private client tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Provide tailored tax planning advice to high-net-worth individuals.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of personal tax returns.
  • Support clients with inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless client service delivery.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and inform clients accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning within the current client base.
  • Assist in mentoring junior staff members on tax-related matters.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Private Client Assistant Tax Manager should have:

  • A relevant qualification in accounting or tax (e.g., ATT, CTA, or similar).
  • Experience in managing private client tax matters within professional services.
  • Strong understanding of UK tax legislation, including inheritance and capital gains tax.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving client tax issues.
