Job Title: Front Office - Private Equity Business Analyst – eFront Specialist

Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (Strong potential for extension)

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support our Private Equity team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within Private Equity fund processes, and possess deep functional knowledge of eFront Invest, eFront Insight, and Investment Café. You will bridge investment professionals, operations, IT, and vendors to ensure systems and processes are aligned with business goals. Primary focus is to optimise investment workflows, reporting, and portfolio analytics using the full suite of eFront solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with deal teams and portfolio managers to gather requirements related to deal tracking, portfolio monitoring, pipeline management, and investor reporting.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for system enhancements in eFront Invest, eFront Insight, and Investment Café.
  • System Implementation & Configuration: Configure and optimise eFront Invest modules for investment tracking, deal workflows, portfolio monitoring, and valuations. Leverage eFront Insight for advanced analytics and reporting. Support adoption and implementation of Investment Café for investor communications, document dissemination, and portal experience. Support implementation of new features, modules, or system integrations (e.g., CRM, data warehouses, reporting tools).
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in investment data capture, reporting, and decision support using the eFront platform. Help automate manual processes and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with front office users to understand workflows and pain points. Liaise between investment teams, IT, third-party vendors, and system administrators.
  • Training & Documentation: Create user manuals, training materials, and conduct workshops for end-users on eFront Invest, eFront Insight, and Investment Café functionalities. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for front office system users.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 4–5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in Private Equity, Alternative Investments, or Asset Management.
  • Strong Private Equity business experience, product structures via indirect investment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with eFront Invest, eFront Insight, and Investment Café, especially in configuration, workflow design, and data/reporting modules.
  • Solid understanding of private equity lifecycle, including deal origination, due diligence, execution, portfolio management, and exit strategies.
  • Ability to write business and functional specifications and interpret them into system configuration or enhancement requests.
  • Strong Excel, Power BI, or Tableau skills for reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Prior involvement in system migrations or eFront upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CBAP, or PMP) are a plus.
