Our Finance team plays a pivotal role in our evolving business, focusing on financial and regulatory reporting, Finance Transformation, and Controls governance uplift. The role involves supporting the Head of Finance Operations, Transformation, and Controls Governance to establish a controls framework and ensure effective People and Process design aligned with the Target Operating Model (TOM).
The Finance Transformation team covers Systems and Data, People and Process, and Governance & Control. This position supports organizational design, process efficiency, risk management, and controls across Finance and Actuarial teams, working closely with various internal teams and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the Treasury operating model in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the design of Investment Operations.
- Oversee new WDT processes and controls, assessing risks and controls.
- Lead finance aspects of operational handoffs, SLAs, and Lloyd's reporting.
- Support organizational design and TOM changes within Finance and Actuarial teams.
- Build future skills capability in Finance and Actuarial, working with HR & L&D.
- Ensure process design considers risk and control reviews during change initiatives.
- Manage relationships with KPMG, Risk, and Internal Audit.
- Oversee completion of finance processes and control uplifts.
- Collaborate with Underwriting controls to ensure data accuracy and control integrity.
- Support the setup of a controls office and governance frameworks.
Policy, Governance, and Risk Management
- Develop and oversee finance policies, standards, and risk appetite statements.
- Manage audit and review plans, including the Finance Risk Committee agenda.
- Design and test controls, monitor risks, and ensure ownership of risks and controls across Finance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Oversee issues and incident management within Finance.
- Align Risk in Change (RiC) with broader operational change efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant or actuary.
- Experience in audit, finance processes, risk management, and organizational change.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Expertise in process optimization, finance systems, and technology.
- Results-oriented with strategic thinking and attention to detail.
