Procurement Business Partner (Digital and ICT)
City of Wolverhampton Council is looking for a Procurement Professional to join the Procurement and Commercial team with a focus on the Digital & ICT category. The role requires strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to delivering value and disruption in traditional thinking. Flexible and agile working options will be considered, with a minimum of two office days per week.
Salary - £60,144 – £63,535 (Grade 9)
Hours - 37 per week
Contract - full time permanent
Work Style - Flexible workstyle (hybrid, minimum two office days per week)
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Professional to join the team as Procurement Business Partner with a focus on the Digital & ICT category. The role requires in-depth knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015, Procurement Act 2023 and procurement best practice.

Candidate Experience
We’re looking for someone with strong procurement expertise and a track record of delivering results in a complex environment. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience working at a senior level in procurement
- Proven ability to lead strategic projects and manage change
- Strong understanding of tender processes and contract management
- Confidence in providing commercial and procurement advice
- Familiarity with e-procurement systems and supplier relationship management
- Experience working collaboratively across teams and agencies
Qualifications
Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply via examination and Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPs) or studying towards level 6; or a Category specific relevant degree. Including where applicable continued professional membership of the relative awarding body.
