Salary: Band 10 £48,132 – £52,491 per annum

Location – agile between home and Forth Banks Police Station, Newcastle. The majority of your time will be working from home with at least one day a week working from Forth Banks. You will also need to be able to attend meetings at other stations throughout the region, on an ad hoc basis.

Hours: 37 hours per week, permanent

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Business Partner. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will have the autonomy to make your mark within your category of expertise, contributing to the corporate objectives and priorities by providing specialist professional advice and guidance to the Force in all aspects of procurement.

You will be assigned your own Procurement Category to manage and be responsible for engaging with Senior Business users and managing the performance of key strategic contracts within that defined category area, as well as identifying potential savings opportunities.

You will also have line management responsibility for junior members of the team, overseeing their work and being heavily involved in their development.

Terms of appointment

This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
