Procurement Consultant – All Levels (Security Cleared)

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver procurement strategy and advice to public and private sector clients.
  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement services for major projects and programmes.
  • Manage project procurement processes, including tender preparation and contract award.
  • Support post‑contract contract management, providing commercial and contractual advice.
  • Collaborate with a team of procurement specialists, claims, disputes and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of procurement services and support business development for the Contract Services team.
  • Contribute to the preparation of bids and proposals to support the win rate of the team.

Main Expectations

  • Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
  • Lead and collaborate with a team on end‑to‑end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
  • Support clients in post‑contract contract management and commercial matters.
  • Drive the development of procurement services and support the business development of the Contract Services team.
  • Support delivery of both team and broader business targets, including bid preparation and proposal documentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in strategic procurement, tender preparation and key procurement documents.
  • Experience in supplier engagement, market engagement and contract award processes.
  • Cross‑sector experience in utilities, defence or security, and public contract regulations.
  • Familiarity with standard model contract approaches, especially NEC4, and experience with alliancing/partnership arrangements.
  • Experience in post‑contract contract management, providing commercial advice under NEC4.
  • Knowledge of commercial principles, modelling and development of commercial models.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and independent working skills.
  • Strong organisational ability to manage multiple activities and stakeholders.
  • Preferably a degree in construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement.
  • Preferably experience in the defence and/or infrastructure sectors and a security clearance (SC) is an advantage.
  • Working towards or holding MCIPs accreditation is desirable.
