Due to increased workload and securing of new clients within the Public and Private sectors, we have opportunities for Procurement Consultants to join our growing Contract Services team in our UK offices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients.
  • Collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
  • Support the development of the services provided by Turner & Townsend.
  • Support the delivery of team and wider business targets.
  • Support the work-winning capability of the Contract Services team.
  • Work with some of the largest organisations in the country and contribute to large-scale flagship projects.
  • Engage with an outstanding team of specialist procurement and other consultants within the Contract Services group.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a strategic procurement environment.
  • Experience in tender preparation and development.
  • Experience developing and awarding contracts individually or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of multiple supply markets with cross-sector experience with Public Contract Regulations or equivalent.
  • Aware of standard form contracts including NEC and JCT.
  • Progress towards or willingness to pursue at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
  • Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement preferred.
  • Experience in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors preferred.
  • Security Clearance (SC) – currently valid or can be reinstated.

Skills

  • Ability to develop procurement strategy within a project or programme context.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding of key commercial principles and techniques.
  • Experience supporting delivery of strategy and/or documentation in a capital project or programme environment.
