Procurement Manager – Ingredients and Protein - Food Manufacturing

Hybrid working: 2 days on site. Location: Cambridge. Salary: £80-90k plus car allowance and package.

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of a fast-growing food manufacturing business. With new customers and an expanding product portfolio, it’s an exciting time to join and help shape the procurement agenda. Responsibilities

• Lead and own the Ingredients & Protein category.
• Build strong connections across all site teams.
• Drive supply chain improvements through full 360° reviews.
• Manage and develop supplier relationships to balance cost, quality, and reliable supply.
• Partner with suppliers to innovate and add value.
• Deliver a commercial edge across the product portfolio, ensuring competitive, high-quality products reach the consumer.

What we are looking for

• Fresh thinking, a real passion for procurement in ingredients and protein.
• Solid knowledge of procurement category management strategies.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Able communicator who integrates seamlessly across functions.
• Proven ability to build collaborative supplier partnerships.
• Drive and tenacity.

Qualifications and experience

• Senior procurement experience in ingredients and protein or related fields.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and driving cost reductions while maintaining quality and supply reliability.
