About the role
Take the lead in defining and implementing a group-wide procurement policy and governance framework. This includes developing and deploying tools, templates, and processes to standardise ways of working, embed procurement best practices across the organisation, and drive enterprise-wide compliance and operational effectiveness. This role reports to the Associate General Counsel – Regulatory & Compliance. The Regulatory & Compliance Team is part of the broader Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function, reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer.
Accountabilities
- Define and maintain the procurement policy aligned with regulations, compliance, and company risk.
- Identify trends and new legislation and design initiatives to address these issues in conjunction with the Procurement and LBI teams.
- Provide guidance and pragmatic advice on procurement policy and governance to Procurement teams and other departments involved with purchasing processes.
- Promote awareness of third-party risks and related policies.
- Develop and support the procurement governance framework across the group.
- Define, maintain, and implement relevant procedures, tools, and templates to support embedding of the Procurement governance framework.
- Monitor and implement audit/risk assessment recommendations in collaboration with Procurement leads.
- Define, implement, and maintain a group supplier due diligence management framework to minimise commercial or reputational risk and maximise value for the business.
- Track compliance through audits and reviews of governance processes, developing relevant action plans and assurance procedures.
- Facilitate and lead the Procurement Expert Group (PEG) to monitor and report on procurement improvement activities related to LBI.
- Ensure controls are integrated into processes and are fit for purpose for wider regulations, e.g., SOC, risk assessments.
- Support wider teams on sanctions monitoring within the supply chain and implementation of new sanctions requirements such as CBAM.
- Drive continuous improvement for procurement governance and compliance processes.
- Deliver training on relevant procurement policies and processes.
About you
Proven experience in developing and delivering procurement policies, procedures, and templates that achieve cultural change.
- Experience working in a Procurement function with understanding of procurement/supply chain processes (S2C and S2P).
- Experience in implementing best practice procurement policies, processes, and systems.
- Process improvement experience with a successful track record.
- Experience in developing performance and compliance reporting.
- Experience in developing and managing Risk Management frameworks and coordinating audit processes and action plans.
