Exciting Opportunity: Procurement Specialist Permanent
Following a strong period of growth, our client one of the largest and most respected housing providers in the South of England is expanding their Finance Directorate and looking to welcome an experienced Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis.
The role is due to start subject to notice on a permanent basis contract and the salary per annum is GBP32,399 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a procurement role and ideally have experience working in the social housing sector.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Create clear specifications, performance criteria and documents for quotation and/or for tender purpose
- Publish quotations/tenders via electronic procurement portal (In-Tend)
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures when undertaken any purchasing activity
- Complete quote and tender price and quality evaluations including moderation
- Produce contract award reports for approval
- Build and maintain strong supplier working relationships with colleagues and suppliers
- Support the Head of Procurement and Procurement Managers with projects as and when required including administrative tasks
- Undertake research into new requirements and suppliers
- Bring new ideas and support continuous improvement within the Procurement Team
Experiencerequired:
- Experience of working within a procurement role
- Housing sector experience preferred
- Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 (currently)
- Energetic and a passion to learn and develop own skills
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationship with colleagues and suppliers
- Able to manage time effectively, meet deadlines and re-prioritise tasks to achieve targets
- Problem-solver who welcomes change

Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
