Role summary

The AA, as the nation’s leading motoring organisation, offers a wide range of products and services. As a Supplier & Commercial Manager, you will support the Category Head of Procurement in delivering the Group Procurement strategy, maximise value from third-party spend, and drive cost reduction, working capital benefits, revenue generation, and service delivery. You will proactively manage and optimise supplier partnerships and ensure compliance with procurement policies and third-party risk management requirements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement a Strategic Spend Management agenda in line with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Lead and support contract renewals, ensuring commercial and service propositions meet expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to generate efficiencies and improve cost and revenue.
  • Manage and administer contract amendments and changes.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for all strategic suppliers.
  • Lead regular supplier business reviews to manage supplier performance and enable value delivery.

What you’ll need

  • Strong experience in Procurement processes, full life cycle sourcing, and category management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and outcomes, bringing tangible commercial value through successful contracting and management.
  • Analytical, data-driven thinker with experience in creating and driving metrics and reports.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with a proactive 'can-do' approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with supplier risk management in a regulated industry and proficiency in using SAP Ariba or similar sourcing systems is desirable.
