Producer (Content) – Hits Radio Network, Scotland Full time, permanent role. Mon–Fri 13:30 – 22:00 (evening show). Studio-based at Radio Clyde, Glasgow. Our Team: How we enrich everyday life You’ll be joining our passionate content team at Clyde 1, part of Bauer’s Hits Radio Network – the UK’s biggest commercial radio network. Our Scottish network includes Clyde 1, Forth 1, MFR, Northsound 1 and Tay FM. Clyde 1 has picked up the John Myers Award for Local Station of the Year two out of the last three years, and we’re home to award‑winning shows like Boogie in the Morning and Scotland’s most listened‑to evening show. The Difference You Will Make This is a rare opportunity to produce Scotland’s most listened‑to evening show, broadcasting across multiple stations from our Glasgow studio. You’ll be the driving force behind the show’s content, working closely with the presenter to create compelling radio that resonates with audiences across Scotland. Your role will also include producing Scotland’s biggest dance and party shows on Fridays, including GBX, Hits Party and Sunday Night Anthems. Your Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead production for the Evening Show (Mon–Thu), planning content and managing talent. Lead production for our weekend dance output, including GBX and Hits Party. Develop creative ideas and stand‑out moments for on‑air and digital platforms. Direct and support talent in a live broadcasting environment. Produce and edit audio quickly and to a high quality. Collaborate with marketing, digital, and video teams to engage and grow our online audience.
The Skills You Will Bring
Strong understanding of radio production and technical systems (Zetta or similar). Ability to manage multi‑station technical requirements and live broadcasts. Excellent organisational and research skills. Collaborative approach with confidence to guide talent. Social media savvy – comfortable creating content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Experience in audio production and editing. Passion for music and creativity – especially if you enjoy dance music.
