As a Product Accessibility Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing our customer experience by reviewing our mobile and web applications, providing feedback, and collaborating with designers, product, and engineering teams to ensure accessibility standards are met from the start.

Responsibilities:

  1. Audit our mobile and web applications independently and provide feedback and guidance for improvements.
  2. Advocate for accessibility by sharing knowledge on best practices and challenges.
  3. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to test features for accessibility and find solutions.
  4. Stay updated with the latest accessibility guidelines and standards.
  5. Expand our understanding of real customer experiences to identify obstacles and improve usability.
  6. Conduct manual testing focused on accessibility, using appropriate tools.
  7. Identify knowledge gaps within teams and the product lifecycle to enhance accessibility.
  8. Work with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience.
  9. Assess risks, severity, and impact of issues, and work with teams to prioritize and resolve them.
  10. Work effectively amidst ambiguity to define best approaches for projects and challenges.
  11. Maintain an adaptable testing approach to meet the bank's needs.
  12. Work autonomously, using initiative to focus on priority areas.
  13. Understand WCAG guidelines, especially regarding mobile applications.
  14. Possess strong knowledge of user experience, inclusive design, and UX testing.
  15. Mentor other teams and junior members in accessibility practices.

Nice to have:

  1. Over 2 years of experience specializing in accessibility.
  2. Experience leading accessibility strategy in organizations.
  3. Experience auditing/testing native mobile applications.
