The details:

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
  • Place of work: Hybrid working (both in the office and from home; office full-time during training period)
  • Rate of pay: £00,000 per annum

The role:

The role involves supporting the Product Development team in daily duties and projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilising Projectplace to manage the workload of all individual NPD briefs
  • Formulating customer NPD briefs and creating CCL's formulations, ensuring they are nutritionally and legally compliant for the sale territory
  • Creating and arranging samples of finished products for customers
  • Managing workflow and completion dates for the NPD Samples Request process
  • Building relationships with flavour houses to expand the NPD flavour library and understand trends
  • Providing timely support to customers and updating them on project progress
  • Collaborating with third-party suppliers during product development
  • Assessing market trends and proposing new formulation ideas with the product development and marketing teams
  • Capturing all amendments to formulations on the system
  • Ensuring Product Specs are created or amended when formulations change, liaising with the Compliance team
  • Presenting to customers virtually or on-site during NPD days and tastings
  • Participating in team meetings and representing NPD/Innovation at tradeshows

The requirements:

Successful candidates will have excellent nutritional knowledge or a relevant qualification, with understanding of nutritional compliance, legal formulations, and permitted label claims. A passion for ingredients, nutrition, health, and wellbeing is essential.
