Gradient Labs aims to redefine customer support for the next decade by building a suite of LLM-based autonomous agents that automate support queries in complex, high-risk environments, offering companies visibility and control over the outcomes.

Our tech stack

We select technologies that enable resilient systems and quick iteration, including familiar tools like Go and PostgreSQL, and strategic choices like Temporal and Encore. Our backend is on Google Cloud Platform; our frontend uses Next.js on Vercel. We currently utilize LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, with plans to expand to multiple models.

As a Product Engineer, you will...

1. Build the "control centre" for customer configuration, instruction, and evaluation of our AI agent, and develop back-office tools to improve customer resolution rates.
2. Create a product interface that is simple yet powerful for our Enterprise clients, similar to Notion or Figma.
3. Ship early and often.

• Want to be foundational engineers for the company's future.
• Believe that persistence and effort can turn ambitious ideas into reality, and enjoy working on greenfield projects with ambiguity.
• Are motivated to operate in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with multiple daily releases.
• Have experience building complex, high-performance product interfaces iteratively, ideally as a Senior or Staff Product Engineer at a tech scale-up.
• Possess "strong opinions, loosely held".
