Responsibilities
- Drive the product- and business-planning processes for cross-functional teams (central cloud engineering and application teams).
- Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships to drive the curation of services in cloud.
- Work with application teams to build roadmaps for each curated cloud service and prioritize work for engineering teams to deliver the service.
- Analyze product requirements and develop the appropriate product team approach to delivering them.
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments.
- Appraise new product ideas and strategize go-to-market plans.
- Create a cohesive delivery function in Citi by aligning application teams with central cloud engineering teams and establishing, executing, and measuring OKRs.
- Act as a product evangelist to drive scaled adoption of released products across Citi.
Required skills and qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams to deliver cloud infrastructure as code that builds platforms and services in Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.
- Technical engineering background, with hands-on experience of Terraform, Python, Java, and Go.
- Extensive experience delivering cloud modernization in large, complex global organizations, including understanding of application architectures, cloud-native services and automation.
- Ability to build central cloud pipelines, compute and data platforms, and evidence of leading engineering teams to deliver this in prior roles.
- Product engineering leadership experience with roadmaps, prioritization, and driving value outcomes; a contributor to Citi's cloud strategy and modernization program.
- 10+ years in a dynamic product management role.
- Proven success overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
- High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
- 10+ years of delivering products leveraging cloud services.
- Proven software delivery experience with iterative/continuous deployments.
- Strong technical understanding of software delivery, cloud-native services, providers’ tools.
- Experience identifying, driving, and facilitating external partnerships that accelerate product usage and customer adoption and overall success.
- Extensive track record leading product and engineering teams.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Curious, problem-solving leadership style.
- Able to develop and sustain a strong product culture and team, energizing members while holding them accountable to goals.
- Align strategy with product performance metrics (KPIs) that reflect capacity, utilization, efficiency, uptime.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Previous experience in software and web development.
- Understanding of value stream mapping and how to increase productivity of development teams.
- Track record of working in financial services or other regulated industries, specifically regarding the leveraging of cloud services.
- Solid understanding of prioritization methodologies and how to break work down and deliver using a lean approach, working in close collaboration with Agile delivery managers.
