The Role

Product Manager, Client Onboarding

Location: London HQ

Hybrid working and flexible hours: 4 days in the office and 1 WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Onboarding Manager to join our product team. You will be responsible for the smooth onboarding of new clients, ensuring they can effectively utilise our technology platform for derivative transaction reporting and reconciliation. You will work with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience from initial setup through post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during onboarding, guiding them through integration and setup of derivative transaction reporting and reconciliation technology.
  • Understand client reporting requirements, data formats, and operational workflows.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (product, technical, compliance, support) to ensure client specifications are met.
  • Conduct needs assessments to capture all reporting, reconciliation, and regulatory requirements.

System Configuration & Testing

  • Assist in configuring client accounts and integrating client data feeds and derivatives transactions into the platform.
  • Test and validate transaction data to ensure accuracy and completeness of client reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system or data discrepancies during onboarding.

Training & Support

  • Provide training on platform reporting and reconciliation features, including interpretation of reports, alerts, and exception handling.
  • Create and maintain documentation to support onboarding, including process flows, guides, and FAQs.
  • Offer ongoing support during the initial usage phase to ensure a smooth transition and address client questions.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Implementation to ensure timely onboarding, managing timelines and expectations.
  • Track and report onboarding progress, escalating issues to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders throughout onboarding.
  • Gather client feedback to identify opportunities to improve onboarding and the overall client experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, trends, and best practices to enhance the service offering.
  • Relay client feedback to product and technical teams for future improvements.

About you

  • 3–5 years of experience in client onboarding, client support, or project management within financial services or technology.
  • Experience with derivatives (e.g., interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, futures) and familiarity with transaction reporting and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with financial technology platforms or SaaS; strong Excel skills; SQL or similar query languages is a bonus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts to clients with varying technical knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; able to identify and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, with a positive client experience mindset.
