Role Overview

The role will have accountability for product managing the Group’s range of Gateway solutions. The role will work closely with Product, Commercial, Financial and Technical colleagues. The role holder will be accountable for the Gateway product roadmap and be a subject matter expert on all aspects of our Gateway Solutions, including our payment application and the associated software deployed. The individual’s market knowledge should be kept up to date through attendance at industry events, awareness of market trends and frequent analysis of competitors.

What You'll Do

• Have a deep understanding of our Gateway Solutions architecture, functionalities, and parameters/configuration.
• Identify and define the Gateway Solutions product roadmap with key stakeholders.
• Manage the product lifecycle and implement product enhancements via structured release cycles.
• Define the core Gateway Solutions proposition across market segments and geographies.
• Be the go-to product expert on Gateway Solutions across the business, bridging sales and technical, operational, and financial teams to ensure an efficient product lifecycle.
• Lead analysis and investigation of issues from support (L3), scheme compliance, customer/sales queries; coordinate comprehensive responses and recommendations.
• Assist the commercial teams with the presentation and selling of Gateway Solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and project teams on technical documentation, delivery items and the pipeline of related feature/functionality improvements.
• Assist in training and upskilling relevant colleagues through insightful product presentations.
• Work with Marketing to ensure accurate product collateral and market campaigns reflect features.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the Payment Gateway ecosystem, including suppliers, partners, markets and competitors.

Who You Are

• Business/financial/technical/marketing degree or equivalent is valued.
• At least four years of Payment Gateway product management experience or equivalent.
• Experience in payment markets and technology, preferably with customer-present card payments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed product specifications or enhancements.
• Experience with product lifecycle management, release cycles and backlog.
• Analytical, with the ability to generate pragmatic solutions and build consensus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an effective communication style.
• Ability to work in a distributed environment across regions and departments to facilitate meetings with business and technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented with structured workload, capacity planning and prioritization.
• Proactive and organized to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluent in English (oral and written).
