Product Manager (UK Cards) – Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to make consumer finance amazing: faster, cheaper, and friendlier. We are building one of the world’s leading fintech companies with a strong start: a unicorn status in the UK, a team of over 600, profitability since 2017, and backing from top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. We are growing fast and expanding into the UK and US markets with a focus on delivering credit through our in-house technology and data-driven decision making.

Join us to take ownership from day one, work in small, resourceful teams, and help build the best technology in-house, leveraging new data sources, machine learning, and AI to automate complex tasks.

Role

We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and data-driven Product Manager to join our Credit Card Product team. The UK credit card launched in 2020 and the US card in 2024. We are now scaling our customer base and expanding our card proposition.

The Zable credit card is a mobile app–first product targeted at the credit-builder customer segment in the UK and the US. It enables customers to build credit while offering a flexible line of credit that meets spending needs sustainably. This role covers all aspects of credit card product management, with freedom to define new features and manage projects end to end, including:

Responsibilities

  • Shape the mobile app experience to empower customers to manage their finances.
  • Optimize customer acquisition for speed and efficiency.
  • Improve underwriting capabilities to support best-in-class credit decisions.
  • Build tools to maximise efficiency for Customer Service and Fraud teams.
  • Find new ways to support customers facing financial difficulty.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Credit, Growth, and Operations to drive product strategy and delivery.
  • Break down complex tasks into bite-sized deliverables and prioritise for maximum impact.

What you’ll be working on

  • Own and drive strategy, execution, and growth of a vertical within the cards business.
  • Manage the delivery of the credit card proposition: define roadmaps, break down problems, and prioritise based on impact.
  • Champion data-driven decision making, measure outcomes, and iterate quickly.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, and other teams to deliver features.
  • Test and measure the impact of releases and experiments.
  • Navigate a fast-paced fintech landscape with appropriate risk management and compliance.
  • Partner with design to ensure customer needs are at the heart of development.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a product, analytical, or commercial role within tech, finance, or management consulting.
  • Bonus: experience in a start-up/scale-up environment.
  • Bonus: experience in credit cards, lending, or fintech.
  • A bias for action: you move fast, deliver, and iterate from feedback.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
  • Data-driven: comfortable challenging assumptions and using data to support decisions (Excel required; SQL preferred).
  • Strong communication skills; able to adapt messaging to different audiences.
  • Collaborative with stakeholders across data science, engineering, compliance, and customer service.
  • Ability to work at speed and take ownership of delivery and design decisions.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies; adaptable to a fast-moving environment.
