You’ll be working on SSRN, currently one of the biggest global preprint platforms, established in 1994, and recently acquired by Elsevier. SSRN’s mission is to rapidly share early-stage research and empower global scholars to help shape a better future. We host early-stage research, across a variety of disciplines, aiming to accelerate the dissemination of open science.
You will become part of a global team (SSRN has headquarters in New York), working with multiple business and technology stakeholders, as well as connecting with our researchers and organisational customers around the world.
The team work with internal business stakeholders as well as external customers to deliver new features and enhancements which offer value to our end customers, using a data-driven methodology within the discovery pipeline and an agile delivery framework.
Responsibilities
- Interacting with customers to understand their needs and generate requirements to deliver product enhancements for expectations and market changes
- Developing clear go-to-market launch plans through coordinated business strategic planning with external cross-functional customer facing teams
- Supporting the go-to-market strategy by communicating customer requirements to stakeholders and supporting launches with queries, training and planning
- Creating and communicating our product vision and road-map plan to build growth opportunities to senior stakeholders
- Driving solutions for complicated design challenges by managing key end-to-end life-cycle components from planning to release
- Utilizing Data-Driven Decision-Making and Analysis to gain product insights and drive solutions for business problems and innovation
Requirements
- Have excellent experience in digital Product Management.
- Be able to document and write clear requirements using user stories for complex features or products, as part of our agile Sprint methodology.
- Hands on experience in UX and Design highly desirable, such as using Figma for wireframe prototypes.
- Demonstrate experience taking ownership for the full product life cycle from conceptualization to execution to post-release management.
- Have the ability to build relationships with customers to understand future needs and requirements.
- Have experience in using an analytical, data-driven approach to identify areas for improvement, experience or willingness to learn using tools such as Adobe Analytics, Hotjar and Pendo.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Software Delivery Life-Cycle processes in an Agile environment.
- Be able to document and write clear requirements for complex features or products.
- Enjoy collaborating with teams to design a strategy to solve problems and implement solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences.
