We are looking for two experienced Production Managers to work on Whisper’s key Esports content (a series of large-scale, live videogaming events both in the UK and International) and a range of sports productions.
The post would suit Production Managers who have a strong background in working on large-scale, live event productions. Significant live event / OB experience on location and/or in a studio setting is essential, as well as a proven track record of building strong relationships with important clients and stakeholders alongside running a large team in a fast-paced, quick turnaround environment. For the Esports role, a working knowledge of video gaming is desirable but not essential. There will be international travel.

Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the planning and organisation of live OBs, both in the UK and overseas.
- Budget creation and cost management of multi-million pound budgets for large-scale live events.
- Overseeing location scouting, site permissions, site setup and management of facilities crew and third party suppliers.
- Working with live event set design teams to oversee construction.
- Overseeing all Health and Safety of event management, including safety planning and all risk assessments.
- Working knowledge of risk assessments for large-scale events, including pyro, fire, action vehicles and stunts (Esports role).
- Post-production workflow management.
- Working with Production Executive to manage a production team at least ten strong.
- Providing direct support to the Production Executive, assisting with the communication of key production information to producers, the editorial team and the wider production management team.
- Working closely with the Business Development team responding to new business requests and RFPs – writing budgets from scratch, considering technical proposal, resourcing and staffing.
- Working closely with corporate clients, federations and broadcasters to provide regular reporting.
- Client facing from pitch to delivery.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- An experienced Production Manager, with at least three PM credits.
- Experience in live events essential.
- Experience in working in live arenas both in the UK and Internationally, including knowledge of US working practices.
- Ability to budget in multiple currencies, experience of working with US fringes, unions and payroll companies.
- Experience working with set design teams on complex staging setups (Esports role).
- Proven working knowledge of rigging, lighting and screens for live events.
- Must have proven network of crew and suppliers within live production event space – UK and internationally.
- Experience of managing multiple complex shoots.
- Comfortable working in a pressurised environment.
- Proven leadership & management skills including line managing team members as well as a strong team ethic.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Location
The base for this position is Kew, London.
Working Arrangements
5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH. This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirements. There is likely to be foreign travel. Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week. Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.

Start: ASAP for FTC of 12 months. Salary: Based on experience. Closing date: Monday 6th October 2025, 4pm BST.
