JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER
ABOUT THE ROLE
A BRIEF SUMMARY
Based out of our Production and Content Centres in Chiswick and White City, you will be part of an established production management team, reporting into the Senior Production Manager.
You will be responsible for all aspects of production management for all projects, working closely with the executive and senior producers to effectively plan all aspects of our deliverables, including but not limited to our key UEFA and FA contracts.
As Production Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day logistics of multiple projects, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish. Working closely with the Production team, you will facilitate all aspects of the production process, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are adhered to. You will be responsible for liaising with both internal and external contacts to address project requirements and specifications. Additionally, you will manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction with progress, while addressing any concerns or adjustments that may arise. Your role will be key in coordinating resources, managing production schedules, and ensuring the overall success of each project.
You will benefit from being part of a dedicated team contributing to an inclusive and supportive working environment. This role is advertised working a full-time hybrid model, that combines remote and in-office work. Your line manager/Gravity Media reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, staff, and suppliers.
- Managing the production budget, monitoring expenses, and ensuring all costs are accurately documented and stay within budgetary constraints.
- Managing crew assignments for large-scale projects.
- Preparing quotes and handling invoicing for ongoing projects.
- Providing onsite production management support for some but not all projects.
- Ensuring Health and Safety paperwork and Risk Assessments are completed and distributed.
- Overall responsibility for making sure all aspects of production management are successfully planned and executed for each project, with support from the production coordinators.
- Communicating effectively with senior team members while providing guidance and leadership to junior team members, both in the office and on-site.
- Responsible for managing all administrative tasks, including pre- and post-production paperwork such as call sheets, risk assessments, and method statements. Assist with transcribing program scripts and music cue sheets, ensuring they are updated and maintained as the project evolves, and requirements change.
- Making sure that we’re following the HMRC guidelines regarding onboarding freelance crew.
- Following guidelines regarding GDPR regulations.
- Available for evening and weekend work.

- Demonstrated experience in the majority of duties and responsibilities detailed in this job description.
- Extensive experience as a senior production coordinator within the sports industry, with a strong background in studio-based programming and outside broadcast facilities, thriving in fast-paced environments.
- A strong network of contacts and freelancers covering all aspects of the production process.
- A proactive, logical, and methodical approach to problem-solving, with proven troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience mentoring Production Coordinators and Assistants.
- Direct report line Management experience (desirable but not required).
