Overview
Do you enjoy transforming data into actionable insights and taking a data-driven approach to solving complex business problems? AWS is looking for a proactive Program Manager with strong technical and analytical skills. You recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. You write high-quality code to retrieve and analyze data and solve business problems at their root, understanding broader context and aligning work to business objectives to deliver value.
You will own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. within SQL, Redshift, QuickSight, etc. You will design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale. You will empower data-driven decision making by applying data mining, data modeling, and analytical skills to define and measure critical metrics.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of program and project delivery from conception through implementation, measurement, closure, handover, and monitoring. You should be able to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation and agility are encouraged. You should be able to see around corners, eliminate complexity, bias for action, make the right tradeoffs, and earn trust through broad stakeholder influence.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end delivery of medium-size projects to meet program goals
- Build and improve processes and mechanisms to drive efficiencies in tech team operations
- Create project plans, manage scope and execution, including risks and communication, through project completion
- Implement program management and operational excellence best practices
- Manage meetings effectively and drive detailed discussions and high-level alignment
- Collaborate with Senior leaders to deliver projects on-time and with targeted quality
- Assist in goal and metrics reporting, operational support, and provide communications mechanisms to the field

Qualifications
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- 3+ years of driving process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management across multiple levels
- 3+ years of program or project management experience with cross-functional collaboration
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL
