Overview

We're looking for a talented Project Architect to join a distinctive boutique practice in central London with an exciting portfolio of high-profile cultural, residential, and institutional projects. With a close-knit team and an impressive roster of international clients, this is an opportunity to work on prestigious schemes that demand both creative vision and technical excellence.

This is a brand new role created to support an expanding workload, and they're ready to move quickly for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery across RIBA stages 1-7, with immediate involvement in feasibility studies and scheme design.
  • Take ownership of complex heritage projects, including Grade II listed buildings with accessibility and sustainability challenges.
  • Coordinate technical resolutions for challenging constraints, including listed building requirements and dual sustainability standards.
  • Prepare and coordinate detailed construction documentation, specifications, and schedules through all project stages.
  • Represent the practice in client meetings and maintain strong relationships with international clients.
  • Collaborate within a small, focused team where your contribution makes a visible impact.
  • Work across multiple project types including cultural institutions, high-end residential, and institutional developments.

Skills & Experience

  • RIBA/ARB registered Architect with proven UK experience.
  • Listed building experience required – particularly Grade II projects with technical complexity.
  • Strong Vectorworks skills - the practice is transitioning to Revit, so Revit knowledge is beneficial.
  • Experience working across all RIBA stages, with confidence leading projects from feasibility through to completion.
  • Technical problem-solver who can navigate accessibility requirements, sustainability standards, and heritage constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with international clients.
  • Collaborative mindset suited to a small studio environment where everyone contributes across projects.
  • Creative design sensibility balanced with rigorous technical delivery.

Benefits & Culture

  • Competitive salary.
  • Flexible hybrid working.
  • International opportunities – the practice offers city trips abroad and unique experiences, along with a recent London boat trip.
  • Family office culture – inclusive, collaborative environment.
  • Direct access to directors and involvement in practice decisions.
  • Variety of work across cultural, residential, and institutional sectors.

This is an immediate opportunity with a practice that values both creative excellence and technical rigour. If you're looking for a role where you can lead significant projects in a supportive, creative environment with genuine international clients, we'd love to hear from you.
