Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Cost Consultant to join our rapidly growing team. You will be part of the team delivering one of our biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics. The successful candidate will be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to Norway or Finland (approximately 50/50).

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Arcadis PMC (Project Management Consultancy) team in the Nordics (Norway or Finland campuses) on a new hyperscale data center.
  • Principally assist the Commercial Lead, MEP cost lead and CSA cost lead.
  • The role covers assisting on both pre-contract and post-contract activities as follows:
  • Pre-Contract:
    • Supporting the estimating process on two separate cost plans.
    • Supporting procurement of the following packages: Site development works; On-site sub-station; Site Logistics; Site Security; Shell & Core; Fit-Out.
  • Post-Contract:
    • Change control.
    • Valuations.
    • Value Engineering.
  • Support on the monthly cost reporting process.
  • Travel to site is essential.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quantity surveying software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
